it aint no sin city but we have a pretty good party town down at the gaslamp. i'm sure you'll enjoy your trip.

well going out and getting completely smashed isn't really my thing, got any suggestions for things to do? so far weve been thinking about some museums, the zoo, gaslamp, i guess anything around mission bay, i want to go up to carlsbad too. like is there anything we should definately check out/good place to stay

Balboa is where the zoo and majority of musuems are. its really close from downtown. I'd recommend goin to oldtown as well. its a pretty sight with good crowd. they got some good mexican food and margarita also. If you can stay at LaJolla then i'd recommend that. close to the beach and a good place for a walk. other spots you should see are Coronado, Cabrillo Monument at Point Loma, seaport village. i'm not very familiar with carlsbad since i don't go there much. If you like golf and wine then you should stop by Temecula since they got some good resort.
