How many guys here do the Track Day thing?

I've been to one, and there was good and bad about it. But the bad stuff was mostly my fault for not planning ahead.

In October, going to be at ECR with Ridesmart. Should be a blast.

Good/bad experiences...anyone with experience? Would like to hear about it.

I have a few track days under my belt now. Just like you said you really need to be prepared. Once you start it's an addiction!! Just remember there are 2 types of riders at track days, the ones that have been down and the ones that are going down. No matter how good you are you ARE gonna crash sometime. Never think you are invinceable. I'm not trying to scare you,but it will happen. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

never been to a track day over here. I'd love to go though, except mad rr just scared me a bit.....

Ahh c'mon no need to be scared . It's just like any other motorsport when you start to push it you are gonna slip sometime. When your racing a car you just have a little more protection. That's another reason among many that driving a car at it's limit is easier that riding a bike at it's limit.

Haven't been on a track in about 20 years (show my age!!) but am also planning on the RideSmart October track day at ECR.

Luckily, I'm one of the riders that has already been down on the track, so maybe I won't again anytime soon.

Hey, we'll be at the same Track Day then! I'm signed up as well for the ECR TD.

I'll be in the Novice group, although this won't be my first TD, it will be the first one where I know what the hell I am doing.

we dont have any track days that i have found around here. there is a drag strip not far from me but nothin where i can go out and hit the curves. wish there was. i would like to just get out and take it around the track to see what i could do.

hey thanks alot velocity i hadnt seen that place i will have to look it up and see how far away it is from me.

I'll be doing a track day on the 4th of August. I just ordered my new gloves so I'll need to break them in before then. We'll be at MAM (Mid-America Motorplex).
