Thanks 929 for the feedback. The whole rear brake thing seems overwhelming. I just started using it to bring the bike back down. I can't f'ing wait to get that b!tch up to balance point and be able to ride it for more then a telephone poles distance.

BLiZZNECK-Yeah, I'm clutching it up. It's a 1K but I did the -1 +1 and if I power it up in second I run out of gear fairly quick. Plus I really don't like the feel of wheelies at 70mph and above.

It's just fine tuning now. Ya the brake thing sucked for me also. Just start with tapping it lightly and work up to draging it. I really don't use it to much any more only when road conditions (small dips, bumps and so on)make me. it's like everything else it will become almost second nature at BP when youve done it enough but my foot is always covering the brake no matter what. I was going out everyday and doing a minimum of 50 wheelies each time. some sucked, some were scary, some were awsome and some were embarising.
I also have another tip for ya. always practice with close to the same amount of fuel in the tank. I like 1/2 tank or less that cuts 12 to18 pounds off the front. I did notice a difference between full and half while practicing.

keep it up and be safe

I definitely notice that it's easier to bring it up when I'm getting low on gas. As sad as it is it has taken me about 6 months to get to the point you see in the video. Is that an average time or am I taking alot longer then most?

I didn't realize how accurate it was when someone told me that wheelies are about 90% mental and 10% physical.

Sometimes I get irritated with myself cause I know I've got it way up there but just not quite high enough. I watch this video and tell myself that I only have to twist the throttle a little more and I'm there. WTF am I waiting for.

Try slowing down a little also. Looks like your starting out maybe 30 35mph? which is about average but IM pretty sure the wheelies your doing right no are easy for you and you can pull it up like that when you want. Right? now try it around 20mph with your ass towards the back of the seat and don't lean forward, go back with the bike and practice that for awhile and you should start easing into BP. from the vid you can still go up another 6 to 8" and be safely in the zone. remember until you get rear brake control you can lean forward and release the throttle and it will come right back down and not over backwards.

The fear of looping it is natural but harder than you think at the stage your at because your getting throttle controll and can feel when you have to much throttle on the way up. people who loop it are using way to much throttle and aren't controlling the bike and passing BP and going right over. NOt saying it can't happen but as soon as you hit BP the first time I will gaurentee you will release the throttle and set it back down on instinct.

Anyways by slowing your speed down to 20 will give you a better feel and longer wheelies to practice hitting BP.

As for time wise who cares. Doin it right is all that matters

HOLY SH!T!!! Are you magic? You're right. I'm starting at about 30mph (I didn't think you'd be able to tell that by the video). If I run the gear out I'll go up to about 70mph so I can still set it down with control.

I'll give the sitting back on the seat some a whirl at a lower speed and see how that works.
