CBR1000F Enuf Owners for Separate group?
Title says it all. Or ought we be in with 1000RR section? (Which they may or may not appreciate.) Am purchasing one in a few hours, but am finding only historical reference to the CBR1000F model as it relates to other models during CBR evolution, but not much detail on it specifically. I sorta think we could do better than to be in a mere "Other CBR's" section.
As I'm new here, perhaps a section leader could take up this issue with far better insight. In case not, I will attempt a poll. with 4 options.
New Section, good idea.
No new section.
Slip into the RR section.
Other...
TIA.

I have no idea if there are even CBR1000F owners here. Hoping so; any comments on the 94 model? Or issues at 36,000 miles? While I will ask for any records, a tuneup was supposedly just done, valves, chain, sprockets etc. $1400. TIA.

Once we get enough members that even have 1000f's then we will think about opening a new section for them but for now there is not nearly enough to open a seperate section for them. Go find some more 1000f enthusiasts and we'll get it goin!

Welcome. Hope you hang around. Personally I wouldn't bother with a new section for it. If you have questions post away, if anyone can help they will regardless of what section you post in.
I think most of the guys here simply click the "New Posts" tab when they log on each time.

the CBR1000F is a good motorcycle it is a big heavy bike not so much of a superbike, but a great sport touring mount. I remember the suspension being pretty sloppy on the few i have rode, and at 36,000 miles yours may be too. keep fresh fluid in the forks and maybe rebuild them.the 1000F didnt have great cornering clearance so be aware of dragn' pegs, pipes, etc. hard parts really should not touch. some guys think its cool to drag stuf, but its an accident waiting to happen.
Which color did you get I had a friend that rode a silver 1000F pretty sharp bike! post pictures when you get em!
