Default 02 954 help

I just purchased an 02 954 and love it. but when i dont ride it for a couple days and i start it there is a brief rod knock noise. It only happens if i havent ridden it for a while and there is no noise while riding or heavy acceleration. I was just wondering if this is normal or should i be taking it to the shop ASAP? I have had many other bikes (non hondas) and never had this sound before. Thanks for any info you have.

I would get it checked out, maybe bad oil pressure when firing. could be a bearing or something but I dont know.

It would sure be nice to be safe then sorry with a locked up motor and oil under the rear tire at 100mph. I would take it in, your life could depend on it.
