Default 900rr Charging or Electrical Problem???

I have a 99 900rr and lately the battery has been dying within a week or two after being fully charged. When I start it up the headlights get brighter when I rev it up which leads me to believe the stator is fine. I just replaced the regulator cause when I unplug it the headlights no longer dim down but, when I plug in the new one it goes back to dimming down. Does anyone have some suggestions on what it could be?? thanks

yeah I forgot to post that I bought a new battery in Sept of last year. The post connections look ok but it won't hurt to give the a good look and clean them. Although if its the battery why wouldn't it do it when I unplug the regulator?

new battery could still be shot after winter if hooked up, I would get a new battery first then if not it your charging system.

Dying like while riding or not starting when you try to start it again, because if its dying while riding then its deff your charging system.

putting them up for sale is fine, but make sure that you dont just dump the bikes on someone knowing that there are problems with them and not tell them. it would piss me off if it was me who bought a bike that had problems and the owner didnt tell me about them.

check the 3 yellow wires running from the stator to the reg/rec. I had the same problem, replaced the regulator and battery and still had the problem. Ended up that the 3 yellow wires had overheated and melted the plastic casing off and we're touching. Bike will still run, but messes up the charge.
