Default Hello all

Hey all I'm Jake. New here but not to riding really. I'm 24 and I've lived around motorcycles my whole life. I pretty much grew up in a old HD shop, my dad used to work there on his off time, plus he knew everyone in the area there too. Personally I've been on 2 wheels since I was 10 or 11 riding dirtbikes. When I was 19 or 20 I got my first bike a 1980 Honda CB750, this is how she looked when I first got her

I'm not really into the cruiser look, I honestly love cafe racers and street fighters. After lots of cutting, welding, and swearing I turned her into this

The flat black looked good, but there was more work that I wanted to do. Plus I wanted her to look nice, to attract the ladies honestly haha, and many people thought my bike was a stock bike, I did to good of a job and not many people noticed my hard work so I took her down again to repaint everything, add some more stuff, and getting her to stand out in the crowd. Well this is where I am with her after a year of work. Right now shes mostly done, just need a few small parts, paint, and few details done

I ran into a few problems, I needed a bike to ride, now. Luckly my brothers friend was selling his 1990 CBR600, 7k on the clock, new tires, ran perfect, for $1000. He knew I've been wanting to buy his bike and he wanted to buy my brothers bike so he gave me a great deal so if I didn't buy it he was going to raise the price and put it in craigslist

Thats pretty much my life story. I came here to find people I could ride with, find good spots for riding, thanks for reading

I live in Clayton NC

I'm still collecting parts and working on it time to time, problem is I get on ebay or craigslist and find more parts I want. I just bought a nice newer dual disc front end, problem is I can't leave the back stock now, so I have to look for something better, its never ended haha. I should have it done this winter though, there isn't much more I want to do to it now.

Love the blacked out look on that CB! Good luck on the project. Post up more pics as you progress. Check out eyeofthestorms chopper/bobber Kawasaki project in the General Bike Chat section. He's got a pretty sweet custom Hurricane streetfighter also. WELCOME!

welcome aboard buddy! pretty decent cane if you ask me... and wicked CB too by the way, ida gone a different way with it but the beauty of those bikes is theres so many infinite possibilities with them, they make awesome sport bikes, streetfighters, cafe racers, classic style cruisers, bobbers, choppers... the possibilities are limitless. cant wait to see more of it!
