Whats the pay like Shorty?

I'm no expert wekder, but I grew up around it all my life. My dad owned a welding shop for a lil while when he was younger, then he worked with a company for 24 years doing welding, and now he works for CSX and he's making his way up the ranks to welder.

But if the pay is good enough i would take me a few semesters of welding at college and head to Dallas.

Man, we could ALWAYS use a good welder. A lot of the guys in the shop are illegal and I fear with all the resrictions they have been making on illegal immigration that I might lose all my workers. I think there is 2 white guys in the shop out of a total of 32. The pay starting out won't be that good but advancment oppotunities will be possible. I'm not sure what a welder starting out makes I'll check with my seceretary and get back to you.
