starting a new project this week, picked her up today, and shes a beaut. got no pics as it was dark when i got it home, and theres no flash on my camera (well there is but it dont work)

ANYWAYS enough eating around the bush (lol) so i picked up a 1978 KZ650 today, solid engine, bike runs like a top. exhaust is rusted beyond recognition, tank is dented, has a HUGE ugly ass seat on it, etc. etc. bottom line, its pretty ugly. anyways plans are to hardtail, stretch, lower, rake the frame, then custom tank and bars will be next, then i gotta sort out gauges, then i have to figure out something to do with lights. ill be plating the bike tomorrow, and going for a rip on the stock machine, to see what im starting out with. forward controls are going to be a dirty dirty bitch, i can already see that driving me insane. but ill figure the shit out, if it takes me an extra week.

so lets all do the happy dance, cause im gonna make me a loud, low, long, mean ass bobber, and its going to kick more ass than i have time to kick, methinks. hooray for metric choppers!

like i said, it was dark when i got home so i got no pics cause cameras got no flash. ill post pics tomorrow, gonna plate the bitch and ride her stock for a day, so i know what its like. i owe the old girl that much... then its onto the chopping block. hahaha, get it? chopping? chopper? ahhhhhh nevermind. maybe ill make a video update since you guys were so amused by the last one.

1998 CBR F3

jigga please... we aint got flashlights!

met my dad about halfway to my hometown, its a five hour ride so we each rode 2.5 hours and met in the middle, in regina sk. we rode home together, first father son ride ive been on in a while. anyways heres my bike in regina and my dad on his yammie 750.





AAAAAANyways, so i got the bike plated, running (runs fuckin awesome btw) chopped and i picked up the new tank and rear fender today. so far really fricken good, this things lookin exactly how i wanted it to turn out. im'a gonna get some better pics tomorrow, was dark in the garage when i stopped working tonight, but i got a lot done in a half a day.

here she is just coming home, all stock lookin and normal like. NOT FOR LONG! check out that massive huge seat man! the guy i bought it from said it was a "kings throne" seat from the 80's, popular chopper part. too bad this things not a chopper yet, yuck! that seat has to go...







got it plated, took her for a ride, she rides nice! dayum! gonna be a nice bobber for sure, ill be spending a lot of time out on this old beast. shes ugly stock but when im done shell be clean and mean. god i love building bikes!












heres my new tank and fender! circa 1967 specialty chopper tank and blank fender



got it torn down, hacked off the rear subframe, and mocked up my tank. so far so good! gonna fab up tank brackets, seat, fender brackets, pegs (mock forward pegs for highway riding, but keeping the controls central. theyre just too damn comfortable to fuck with...) keeping the back end softail for now, but sooner or later ill be doing hardtail permanently and pod filters. check in for more updates soon! oh and sorry about the shitty pics, camera doesnt work so good in a dimly lit garage with no flash. lol next time ill bring a flashlight...






and just because the poor girl is laid up, heres my honda waiting for her oil pan to get fixed. poor thing has been miserable for days, shes happy shes not the one getting cut up though for once haha

well doesnt seem to be much interest in this project...

kinda shitty, i had about 30 pics to post of the build but my camera got wet today and buggered the memory card, all the pics are gone. GAH! something to be said for film, i guess. anyways ill post some pics later, sadly i got mid build and finished, none of the intermediate pics. im choked about that!
