Default Damn I got some good MPG's this time around........

Well, when I bought my bike about 6 weeks ago, I didn't really drive it hard at all. It didn't really run all that good either....well, it ran good, but didn't idle very well, like it had dirty carbs or something. Then it dawned on me that the bike has 10K miles on it and it's a 97 model, so it had prolly been sitting around for a while and the carbs were prolly gummed up. The first few tanks were untreated fuel and easy riding and got about 40 MPG's. So, the next time I filled up, I put in some B-12 (pour in) in the tank with 93 octane. I got around 43ish or so. Then this last fill up, I used some Berryman gum and valve treatment along with some B-12. That tank was pretty easy riding....no wheelies, not going fast, low rpm shifts, ect, ect......and this time she went 195 miles on 3.755 gallons.....thats 52 MPG's!!!

Not bad I guess. I bet if I get the tires aired up to spec, put on a K&N filter along with new plugs, I bet I could get more than that.

Just thought I'd pass it along,

Joe

Good to hear. With gas at such high prices it sure is nice to get good fuel mileage.
