Default lens color

I had seen a lens guide (for snowboard goggle lenses) a while back but cant find it, so I am seeing if you fellas can give me a recommendation. I want a good lens to help keep out the light but still be functional at night. would a silver lens be the ticket? are these conflicting expectations? I have multiple lenses according to condition for snowboarding, dark for bright days, yellow for night boarding, orange for foggy, etc, but I dont know if I should just do the same for my helmet...

Yeah man keep a clear one on at night...Even a light smoke lessens your visible distance considerably. You don't notice it during the day but at night it's dangerous...If your comfortable only seeing 25 feet in front of you in the dark then go ahead but be careful...

I have a helmet with a mirrored DARK visor, and a helmet with a clear visor. I will wear the cleared helmet if I KNOW I will be late and in the dark. If I might be in the dark I will weaar that helmet. If I am going to work and then strait back home I will wear the Dark visored helmet.

And the mirrored one is AWESOME in the sunlight, anytime during the day!!! But impossible to see at night!!

Is this really such a valid question one would have to start a thread about it?

Clear at night, doesn't get much more simple than that.
