Be sure to hook yourself up with a speedo healer after you change the sprockets.

droping the chain size to 520 from 525 would probably help accelerating a little bit cause of the loss of rotating/moving parts. less wait to pull....equals more horsepower

I talked to quite a few of my bike mechanic buddies and they all said the same thing....you will not feel any significant difference going from a 525 to a 520 due to the fact that they are already so close to the same size. The 520 conversion is more for going from a 530 down to a 520...... there is actually a noticable difference between those two...

Take the money for the chain and just put it towards sprockets!!! That's where it's at..

If your gonna wheelie or do holeshots, a good chain is like 200.00 and about 100.00 in sprockets. If no wheelie, then about 150.00 You will notice more power out of a 520 because you will put that drive train on a huge diet.
