Default 06 600RR oil light flashes on and off??

I just bought an 06 600RR with 1000 miles on it. My problem is the oil light flashes on and off when the bike is running. The guy I bought this bike from said that he changed the oil and when he was done, it was doing this...He said that it is a computer problem and that it is something that can be cleared out. Is this true, I have no idea what to do?? I checked the oil and the bike does have oil in it. If anyone knows why this is happening, I would greatly appreciate some advice on what to do so I can get it fixed. The bike is currently up for sale, but I want to fix this problem before it sells. Thanks, Chad

Chad, I would think the very first thing you should confirm is that it does in fact have oil pressure. Hook a gauge up to it and confirm it has pressure. If you don't have a gauge, pull the sending unit and hold you finger over the hole, if it blows your finger off while you are holding it as hard as you can, your good.

Like rode stated, might be as simple as a loose wire or possible even a bad pressure switch.

I am not being a smart ass, but you didn't say if it has the proper oil level or not, could be low on oil for starters. Maybe try disconecting the battery and clearing the error light, after you try all the connections like kokamo and jrode mentioned.
