Im with 1badf*i. When I bought my bike I knew very little about bikes. The best way to learn is hands on. I do all of my maitenance, mods, ect. now.

You get what you deserve for taking your bike into the dealer for ANYTHING other than warranty work.

IMHO, if you can't change your own oil atleast you have no business riding a motorcycle. And NO, doing the service yourself does NOT void your warranty regardless of what the dealer says.
