Seriously Ben, I put PCIII on my bike, then gearing then along way down the road added a slip on. the
PCIII w/ custom tune made the throttle response and torque really smooth, next I added a -1 front sprocket for more aceleration rode that for a while
then added +2 rear sprocket and Speedohealer. that lasted one summer then i went back to stock rear sprocket. the +2 rear IMO was overkill on the liter bike but -1/+2 or a -2 front (steel sprocket is smart if going down 2 up front) is ALOT of fun on a 600. but IMO w/ a aftermarket exhaust the higher revs from the lower gearing can wear on you if you ride all day. especialy high reving 600.
slip on exhausts add a very few hp, and on a everyday ridden street bike, it seems like the cops let you have alot more fun if you keep the stock stealth exhaust
you will be happier with the way your bike rides from pciii & custom tune, along with lower gearing. slip on exhausts are only loud they dont do much for the way the bike runs
