Welcome to the forum Freak. Rpm all depends on the rider. I personally like to keep my 600rr in the powerband so that if I need to get myself out of a situation all it takes is one twist of the throttle and I'm gone. If I'm just riding normal I will shift anywhere from 6000 to 8000 RPM's. If I'm in sight of law enforcement I shift at about 3500 to 4000 to keep the noise level down. If I'm out riding the twisties I will typically try to keep my RPM's somewhere around 10000 to 12000. Hope this helps with your question and we look forward to having you contribute to the forum.

Yes, this all depends on the rider. I myself usually shift around 5K pretty much any time. To me this seems like a good amount of RPM's to pull myself out of any situtation. Of course if im getting on it ill go higher, but for everyday riding probably about 5-6k.

keep em high man!! These rr's are made for it!! you can't hurt it. As a matter of fact honda recommends that you get it above 11k once in a while just to keep it cleaned out and keep your valves free. Let her sing man!!!

Honda's are known for frying the stator if you baby it with low rpm's. Keep her up!
