Default Hey guys new ryder have some questions !

Whatsup ! This is my first time on the forums i've been reading some of the posts and have a couple questions.

I want to go the micron slipon route with exhaust. Do I just literally cut the old exhaust off by the peg? Also was thinking of going with high mount, does anyone have any links to custom rear peg kits? Also getting a power commander for sure, any suggestions on brands?

Thanks

Russ

Usually when you get your slip on it will come with a mid pipe also. You unbolt it from the factory exhaust, install the aftermarket midpipe and then install your new slip on. I doubt you'll have to cut anything.

As far as getting a hi mount exhaust I'd check to see if the necessary mount comes with the pipe.

I got the dynojet power comm. Works good. If you go with the power commander and have a little extra cash I would get it custom mapped.

What would I be looking for with a custom map? And I have been looking at the exhaust it looks pretty solid one piece all the way through, do you have to undo it where the actual exhaust goes into the motor? And they have high mounts to go with the exhaust just not sure if I want to screw over my gf for a while
I like riding solo better anyways! I've only really been able to find one FE type, all the hot bodies stuff isnt for f4i 04+ yet.

I think your talking about full exhaust systems, but I believe they separate somewhere under the bike also! A custom map would need to be made on a dyno.

It will make your bike run better and add some HP.

However I would not do a custom map until you are done with all your performance mods (air filters, pipe, etc)

No cutting, the pipe should come with all to connect just where your stock mounted.

I am not a fan of the high mount, but thats just preference, as far as pegs, what style. Ebay has some solid rear peg assemblies that act like a crash cage of some sort. I was going to buy that for my bike, I hate it when my foot peg folds when I use it to wheelie.

Dynojet PcIII is the only commander worth buying, they are always coming up with additions for there equip. Dont fall for the ebay 29.99 comp. chips they dont work.
