Small update-ordered a set of $35 mirrors from hong kong yesterday, came home to an almost brand new left side fairing and there is no hole for frame sliders yet Hopefully ordering my cct soon and an oil change for the weekend. Powdercoating may be done next week depending if i feel like ripping the tires off.

heres an idea, if you wanted to go for a more classic honda sport bike paint job, change the black paint to white and keep the wheels white. that would look clean IMO.
best of luck man

hmmm, i will have to see how that looks photoshopped. The white wheels look horrible because i think someone tried to paint them all white and they flaked off on the flat part of the rim.
Is there a particular wax i should use? I have meguiar waxes for my car not sure if i need something different. Any recommendations on wax and to take the grease off fairings from the chain?
Ordered CCT lifter and gasket from bikebandit.com today. No more sounding like shit....soon.

meh, sounding like shit gives bikes character. you shoudl hear my bikes...
im no good with photoshop but bubbah knows his shiat, you could send it to him. also aluminum rims wont paint well, youre best bet is taking them to get powder coated, but i think white PC wheels and white in place of the black on the fairings would look boss.
taking gunk off the fairings is simple, soap and water. i dont wax my bike, but if i did id use turtle wax, its the bees knees.

Thanks for the help. The new side fairing won't be on till i get another set of frame sliders. CCT lifter should be here next week along with my mirrors i hope. Still need to get around to playing with photoshop and i now have a test fairing (the old one) to do painting on.
Here is my chopped windscreen i did, missing mirror, and a nice piece of plastic missing in the upper fairing.
This is the side that is being replaced. I also need a new alternator cover as you can tell. I may do some painting on the old cover.
My friend and riding partner who has a 07 cbr 1000 may have totaled his bike yesterday. Car tried to cut thru two lanes and didn't see him. He is okay, needed 8 stitches from where his watch cut into him. He only had it for a few months.

Yeah no kidding about insurance companies. My military life insurance won't pay unless i am wearing proper gear if something happened to me on my bike. They don't work for ya thats for sure.
Just got my cct lifter and gasket today, that was really quick via usps all the way from california (bikebandit.com)
I just went for a couple hour ride thru the mountains and it was a blast. Some of the roads i have been on a couple times already and its something else looking at pavement that you can prolly touch.

Dude, your bike is awesome btw.
Thanks. Got a write up on that? Looks like it would take a while. Not sure if i want to go with polishing or black on the cover. I have a ton of ideas going on in my head.
