Default Anyone replaced the ACCT?

I'm soon to replace the ACCT on F2, (19k) and it starts acting up after the bike
gets warm...really warm.

I've seen the how to's, and have the manual, but was just wondering how easy and time consuming this actually is.

if you do much of your own maintance i dont think you will have any trouble. just follow the instructions in your service manuel. if they arn't clear enough get a Haynes or Clymer. when i can I like to have either a Haynes or clymer in addition to the honda manuel. usually between the two books things are explained well

I do my own maintenance except for tire changes, and that's simply because I haven't got the tools. That's also about to change with the recent goings on.

Thanks...should have no problem.

Replaceing the cam chain lifter is easier then changing spark plugs.

I've no doubt about that.

If you're talking about the tensioner, it takes about fifteen minutes to replace...Swapped mine with a manual APE tensioner. Remove two bolts, pull out the cct, reuse the metal gasket...Put in the manual cct, tighten the two bolts...then back out the BIG bolt quite a bit. Start the motor and hand tighten the bolt until the noise goes away...tighten the lock nut...DONE!
