I believe the f2's tire size is 160/55 ZR 17. I would go with some nice pilot powers. Very great tires.

yeah stock it came with a 160/60 and the rear wheel is 4.5 inches wide. You could probably go up to a 170/60 , but youd get better handling with the 160, I definately wouldnt go with a 180 on a 4.5" wheel!! The 97and 98 F3's came with a 5 inch wheel and can safely go to a 170. And Im personally a bridgestone man, and am running the new bt021's on my bike and LOVE Em.

I run pilot powers on the 1000RR but they suck for life i eat a set in 4k miles easily.
I run Metzler Z6 on the rear and M3 front on my CBR1100XX and they are great i get about 7k out of them. for everyday commuteing they rock, i run canyon roads in colorado with them and they are wonderful at any sort of sane speeds and if i dont peg the throttle exiting corners (81lb of torque)! if its a track bike you may want something w more stick. pirelli diablo stradas are good tire to if the Metzlers dont come in the sizes you need

Dunlop Qualifiers...
Just got some myself....they are made to be used for right in between
Track days and racing.
Get them hot..and you get predictable slides.
Middle or crown on the center of the tire...and more edge for the lean and grip...
I got the tires for 104 and 129...then $40 a tire to install...that's with them having to tak the tires off the bike.
Would have been only $15 if I'd taken the rims already off the bike up there.

Yeah take off the wheel and take the axles with you in case they need them. You do not have to take the sprocket and cush drive on the rear wheel to the shop!
BTW While qualifiers are very good tires, they may not have the mileage you are looking for. I know alot of tires are out there and being said in this thread but If you want mileage and a GOOD knee draggn tire look into the bt021's by bridgestone.
I ride interstate for about 60miles each day commuting. I had bt014's which were AMAZING in the twisties, BUT commuting everyday it sqaured off the rear within 2000 miles. I looked into the bto21's and bought them. I have almost 3200 miles on them including a deals gap trip and the rear it nowhere near squared like the 014's got. The front is about gone but the rear is looking good.
Bt021's thats my suggestion!
