I don't know if you can tell from the pics, but I've moved my pegs up about half the distance between the bolt holes with an adapter I made, ( I can take some pics of that too if anyone wants to see it), and I just made a strap to go from the tab on the muffler band mount to one of the rearset mounting bolt holes, with a nut on the backside. I'm definitely shortening the D&D again, and this time I'm going to try some different packing.

BTW, I'm certain I gained some power, it pulls hard right on past the redline now.

I would love to see pics of it. I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my rearsets. They just seem way too low.

Here's the rear sets, as you can see I just used a couple pieces of 1/4" x 1" flat steel to make the relocators. The trickest piece is the extension on the shift rod which you can see in the one pic. That is just a piece of steel brake line tubing brazed in the middle of the two cut halves of the stock shift rod.

Here's the final iteration of my exhaust (at least till I get any more bright ideas) :
