Ok so I bought a brand new battery and Put it on and charged it and my bike will run for like a week and a half then the battery will just go dead... and i will have to charge it again...

this is my first bike so like is it a bad alternator like a car or a short some where or what? Also my rectifier gets super hot..... is this thing bad?

Charge the battery back up then start it and check charging system voltage @idle and about 3000 rpms, and let us know what you find.

I'm thinkin it's a weak stator....

That or you do in fact have a short somewhere.

What bike is it? How many miles?

1991 CBR 600 F2.... around 28000, rectifier looks stock

I would change the rectifier before I eventhought about changing the stator. Get a rectifier on ebay, put it on and see if it works.

BTW rectifiers do get hot. But if you cant touch it, its getting too hot!!!
