Default damn thing wont start

so i left the bike sitting for about 6 weeks, went out to try and start the bike, starter goes but the engine doesnt turn over. that was a little over a month ago. i bench charged the battery today and after reconnecting the battery i get the same story. the lights light up and everything electrical works but the engine wont turn over. is it spark plugs? im not sure where to start. im trying to sell the bike anyway is this something that could potentially be something more serious? it used to run fine before letting it sit. i just dont want to dump more money/time into it when i dont have much of either these days.

on my ex650 when the kill switch was off nothing would happen at all when you hit the starter. i dont know if thats the same story with my f1 but i know thats not the problem with my bike since when i got it the kill switch was gutted. its just a button with no actual switch to it, the wires are twisted off so it stays on all the time

if it was running fine when you parked it, and only 6 weeks have passed, plugs could be the culprit, but, check your fuel filter. Gas that has ethanol in it can 'gum" up a filter and give the same symptoms. Usually takes longer for plugs to go south. Not that it could be the plugs..it certainly could. Check fuses, check the switch on the kickstand if it has one, check your tip sensor if it has one...lots of stuff to go wrong electrically, hardest part is findin it.

almost forgot, you said that the starter "goes" but the engine doesn't turn over, pull the plugs, and then try the starter again. see if that makes a difference..it might be that the starter has chosen now to bite it.

its the carbs. i left it sitting for like 2 months with a bunch of gas in it and everything else is in order. i replaced the fuel filter which was trash but i cant get to the carbs to clean them since almost every screw on the way to them is stripped and i just dont have the time to take care of it

Try dipping your screwdriver in Comet or something equally as gritty to help the blades bite?
