Default Tank Bra

Here are a few without and with the bra on pics. Thanks again Psycho. It covers up the little dent in the top of the tank pretty well. Sorry, I know the garage and the bike are a mess. Still haven't cleaned the Arkansas bugs off yet, and I just got my old Jeep running and out of the garage finally. I missed her, especially since the temps have been dipping below freezing pretty regular here.

Without...

And With...

Here's a possible winter project....

Just have to pick up a couple of more pieces. The frame cover panels below the seat and tank, rear seat latch & lock, and fab up some brackets....

Been thinkin' about doing it for awhile. Actually took those pics back in early May. Have seen it done on a couple of 'Canes using a 600RR tail. I picked up the 05-06 tail section, saddles and taillight from ebay for dirt cheap. Think I paid $50 (shipped) for both front and rear seats together. Oh yeah, I also got a set of F4 rear pegs for about $20 shipped. Orville wanted more for te 2 seats than I paid for the tail, seats, pegs & taillight together. Gotta love ebay. Like I said, still have to pick up a few more odds and ends that are actually cheaper from the dealership than used. Oh well, I found a little write up on another cbr forum to help me with my project.

Yeah, I think it looks pretty good myself. It blends in on the black better than on the gray. I'm gonna have to break down and put a paint job on mine soon. Maybe after the tail job is done. The rattle can flat black looks awesome for about the first 3 days, then it starts to pick up everything and get spotty. You have a beautiful old 'Cane. Thanks again.

As for the project, I'll keep ya posted. Then maybe a GP style exhaust.....

Hey Todd,

Might go for a ride this weekend if the weather holds up. You ever been to the Alpine Hotel road in Burkesville? Freakin' road is sweet. It's only about 3 miles long, but twisty as heck. I rode it back on the 3rd and scraped a foot peg. I'm pretty sure the hotel is closed, and it is the only thing on it. I'll give you a holler if we decide to go.

I think the plan is to meet Lonnie, the guy I went to Arkansas with, in Glasgow around 10:30 or so Friday morning and head over that way. He lives off of 90 a few miles past Mike's in Glasgow. If you have no plans for Friday, we would love to have you ride with us.

How much work is involved in putting that RR tail on? I want to do this to mine, but I'm uncertain how much it'll cost to do.
