Default Fabricating Fairings?

I wanna make some small custom fairings to try and incorporate a semi street fighter look on my '88 Hurricane. It was suggested to me that I might try PVC sheets and mold them with a heat gun. The other option is to fiberglass something, but it was said that could start to get heavy?? Any thoughts or ideas would be super helpful.

Thanks

fiberglass is not that heavy, you just have to make really good moulds, spend about three times as much time on the mould as the part and youll be fine, one or two layers isnt too heavy. pvc only comes in thick sheets, its hard to get the thin stuff.

sounds like a good idea, i cut some of my stock panels into useable peices last year when my bike was still a full frame fighter. try it out, what have you got to lose? give it a shot! trust me fiberglass is tons easier to work with.
