Hey Randy is that for F3's also??

On the F3 issue, to be honest I don't remember specifically. But based on if the pump is mounted to the tank bottom like most, it should work without it. Increase hose size and gravity away.

All the pump does is make sure fuel gets to the carbs or injectors. If gravity will do it, it should be fine. If you've got some prolonged real heavy tilting going on, the centrifugal forces or angles may make the flow decrease enough to starve your bike. Most street riding would never notice.

I've been having some performance issues at higher RPM's after the bike has warmed up. Feels like it is starving for fuel. I bypassed my pump today and got out and let her rip for about 30 minutes without a hint of a problem. Not to say that tommorrow when I ride to work, it won't go ape on me. But so far it runs better than it has in awhile. I was pushing it pretty hard too and she wound up great. I'll update later. Hope this helps, this thread has helped me. I wasn't looking forward to buying a new pump and a used one seems a little iffy.

as said before this gravity feed method is a sure fire work on a bike. Think about a yamaha banshee, which I used to own three. They are a two cylinder 2 stroke and get horrible fuel mileage. They are gravity fed and use way more gas than your sportbike ever will. In the sand dunes I could use up a 5 gallon can in less than 3 hours very easily. If gravity can feed that then gravity can feed your bike. Snowmobiles are the same way they use way more gas then any sportbike and Gravity feeds many of them. Unless your converting to alchohol you will never have a problem.

My wife's '85 Kawasaki 700 LTD is gravity fed as well as my step-son's Honda 250 fourtrax. I can see maybe if you were on a severe incline, but the carbs are quite a bit lower than the outlet on the fuel tank, so I don't see it being a problem. Maybe a 12 o'clock for 1/2 a mile....
