Default heat sheild

hi guys just want to know if i take my heat sheild of the rear of my 04 blade would it melt anything as its plastic behind ?? as im thinking of fitting a tail tidy and most pics i have seen have got them removed thanks SONIS B

no i left mine on, but a lot of people put the heat resistant tape uner the tail to keep the heat off the plastics.

i didnt do anything at all. I took the stock heat shields off, bolted my slip on up and lots of miles later its still all good

I took mine off, and I have had no heat problems at all.

thanks for that will take it off if i go ahead with tail tidy unit as its gona look shite with that big chunk a ally hangin outa the back,i just want a more race style rather than that great bir ironin bord hanggin of the back should look cool if the pics ive seen are anythin to go by? cheers SONIC B
