Default re-pack can

Some folks are wondering how and why this is done. I did mine not to long ago and used this article to do mine:

http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/howto/122_0309_howto/

This explains how and why you should repack you motorcycle muffler.

A few side notes:

The old stuffing/packing will:

1-stink, and there will be LOTS of little fibers, and old black carbon floating around everywhere. SO wear a dust mask!!!

2-itch!!!! Please wear long sleeves and gloves cause this stuff ITCHES. I was itching a couple days later cause I didnt wear a long sleeve shirt. You wear one.

Getting the end backon my can after repacking was, for some reason, difficult. It wouldnt start square if you know what I mean. Take your time and dont get frustrated. It will go back together just takes holding your mouth right.

Dont use to big a drillbit or the new rivet will never tighten right.

Thats about it. The link explains everything really well!!!
