Its easy. Make sure when you buy the new cover that it comes with a new gasket also. There are only a few bolts to take the cover off. Then you have to pull it (which may be hard because it is a big ass magnet) Then unbolt the stator from the cover, bolt the stator to the new cover, reinstall it on the bike. When you take the cover off you'll drip some oil, so remember to check the level after your done.
