NO 26000 miles on a bike isnt alot, AS LONG AS regular maintainance has been done throughout its life. Things like the battery, chain/sprockets, brake pads, rectifier/regulator, those things WILL peter out with age. But slipping on engine maintainance is a sure bet for early retirement!!! Changing the oil Is critical for the longevity of a motorcycle engine. Not only that but the right oil is even more critical. Id rather have someone change the oil once a year with very good motorcycle oil than to change it 30 times with some cheap car oil. BUT with a good maintainance history that bikes "motor" should last many many more miles than that!!!

There is a member that has a F4i with WELL over 100,000 miles on it. So it just depends on how the Previous Owners maintained it!!

So it just boils down to buying something used, you never know exactly what your getting!!
