Thanks for the greetings to the forum guys. As for this being my first street bike, I will give you a synopsis of my riding experience. I have ridden bikes of all kinds for a very long time. I had a street bike back in the early to mid 90's. Since that time I have been racing motocross at the amateur level. I have good bike handling skills, as the tracks I ride and race on have jumps in excess of 75 feet. I know this is a different animal, but I guess what I am saying is I know how to respect a bike, as well as how to control the throttle hand. I have ridden friends 600's and was just left wanting more. I don't want to buy a bike to get rid of it next year. I plan on keeping this bike for a while, which is why I wanted to know if there is anything mechanically I should watch out for. Sounds like I am getting a good bike, but tell me how this deal sounds - 2006 5k+ miles, flush mount kit, fender elimiminator kit, 2 helmets, matching Joe Rocket jacket for $7400. The bike is in mint shape.
